Morse-Brown Design's work for Sandwell Council has been shortlisted for an award at the NFA Awards 2009 in the Most Innovative Products section. Sandwell Adult Services and Health has introduced a carers Emergency Card Scheme.
The card is the size of a credit card and is carried by carers who choose to participate in the scheme. It carries a unique identification number and a contact phone number for a 24 hour response centre managed by Sandwell Homes so that in the event of an accident or emergency for the carer, the card makes helpers aware that there may be a vulnerable person in need of support.
Morse-Brown Design won the competitive design contract and designed the card and all publicity material for the launch of the system in December 2008. The programme was subsequently shortlisted for an award at the NFA Awards 2009 in the Most Innovative Products section.
