Successful direct mail campaign generates new contract for BaxterSmith
A tightly targeted business-to-business direct mail campaign, designed and produced by fraserdesign, has reaped rewards for the contract caterer, BaxterSmith.


The campaign of five postcards, which included a teaser, was directly responsible for generating a new one year rolling contract worth £100,000 per annum with Bard, a medical devices manufacturer. The postcards, mailed every other day, were designed to build awareness of BaxterSmith before revealing the caterer’s identity in the final mailing. Fresh, clean cut images of a spoon, a napkin, a glass and a spear of asparagus were used on a stark white background to meet BaxterSmith’s brief for a simple but memorable campaign. The items were featured singly on each card and a visual ‘twist’ was added to ensure stand out. William Baxter, Executive Chairman of BaxterSmith, comments, “We’re delighted with the response we have had to this mailing. It has worked very hard for us, gaining us incremental business and successfully promoting our company in our marketplace.” This was the first project that fraserdesign has completed for BaxterSmith.
