Zolv bags Bennetts Babes site
Zolv, the software design and web development company based in Leeds, announced the launch of the new Bennetts Babes site.
The website forms part of the leading motorbike insurance provider’s annual competition which searches for girls from across the UK to become part of the famous Bennetts Babes squad and represent the brand at motorcycle racing and industry events.
The new website, designed by Zolv, allows voters to view profiles of each of the nominees and to cast their votes online.
Zolv developed the Bennetts Babes site after completing a number of successful projects for Bennetts, including an up-to-the-minute news and opinion website for the 2007 season of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and the development of a significant viral campaign. Following this initial work, Zolv was tasked with taking Bennetts’ existing concepts and branding one step further through the development of a more creative site.
The design of the new site was achieved in just one month.Olly Wenn of Zolv said: “This was something everyone wanted to work on as it was such a fun project. We took our established methodologies and used them to develop a creative and user-friendly site. Our key objective was to reflect the brand’s values in a site that is both fun and friendly.”
Mark Fells, Bennetts’ Marketing Director said: “With the development of this site we were hoping to achieve two key objectives. Firstly, an easy to use, friendly looking site, with an entry mechanism to the competition for potential Bennetts Babes. At the same time we wanted to incorporate a fun rating feature for the other target audience for this site – bikers.
“Having worked with Zolv on previous projects, including our viral Biker Tribes game, we were already aware of the quality of their work.
“Zolv achieved an incredible result for us with tight deadlines and within budget. They have managed to deliver a site that is both functional and on-brand while stretching our existing reach by ensuring the site is accessible and entertaining for users. Zolv’s flexible approach and openness to suggestions throughout the project made them great people to work with.
“With the new site for 2008 we are already seeing a substantial amount of traffic.”
The winners of the Bennetts Babes search will be announced at the end of March. The Bennetts Babes online calendar, also developed by Zolv for 2008, is now available online at www.bennetts.co.uk.
