London, UK: Tribal DDB has appointed John Streit of Agency Republic as its Head of Technology.
The appointment follows the announcement that former Head of Technology, Matt Oxley, has become Head of Creative Technology across the DDB UK group.
Streit will work closely with Oxley across all Tribal DDB clients and be a key member of the Tribal DDB management team. He will lead a 30 strong technology team on the forthcoming Virgin Media brand campaign, due to launch in February 2011.
At Agency Republic Streit worked as Head of Delivery overseeing digital projects across all brands, including: Adidas, Baileys, BBC, O2, Smirnoff and Playstation.
Streit began his career at a data agency in 1996 and he has since worked at several top UK marketing agencies, including: EHS Brann, Royal Mail, Communique360, Hildebrand Interactive and Carlson Marketing.
As a customer experience expert he has helped to launch websites for Hyundai, Royal Mail, MINI, Diesel, Canon, Lurpak, Rolls Royce and Monarch. He also managed the 02 Great Niggle Nobble integrated campaign, which was awarded Creative Showcase’s Campaign of the month in July and shortlisted in The Campaign Big Awards 2010.
Tom Roberts, managing director at Tribal DDB, said: “John has a proven track record of leading large development teams and delivering innovative solutions for clients. This addition to the team represents another significant step in our evolution and expansion.”
Streit added: “Being able to bring my 15 years of digital experience to Tribal DDB is a tremendous opportunity. Working on clients and fast moving accounts such as Virgin Media and Volkswagen will be a welcome challenge and one where I look forward to raising the bar on the quality and culture that makes Tribal DDB so effective. ”
