Leading brand response company TheAgency has signed a Managed Recruitment Service contract with specialist media, creative and marketing recruiters, Ad Lib.

Following a number of major client wins, TheAgency has significant growth planned over the next 18 months, looking to increase permanent headcount by 250% and build an extensive freelance pool. Through the Managed Service agreement, TheAgency will have one central contact point for all their recruitment needs.

Ad Lib will field sales calls and CVs from other recruiters, as well as negotiating competitive fees on TheAgency’s behalf, dramatically reducing time and money spent on recruitment whilst still maintaining full access to the majority of candidates on the market. With expertise in building successful brands and driving sales, and an already impressive client list, the Bath-based marketing agency has all the potential to become one of the employers of choice in the region.

TheAgency team combine experience from Omnicom, Rapier, Ogilvy and Saatchi and are already giving competitors in the capital a run for their money. Recent business wins have included four in the recruitment sector, as well as a teenage road safety campaign for London Borough Council, jewellery designers Bloom & Co, who have appointed TheAgency to implement their online retail strategy, and Rex Resorts who have moved from a leading London agency in order to benefit from of a more sales focused brand response plan.

Commenting on the Managed Service contract, Amy Stobie, Partner (pictured) said, ‘We are delighted to appoint Ad Lib. We have worked with them for a number of months, and their understanding of our business, our plans for growth and the local talent pool is an essential resource for us. With Ad Lib on board, we can rely on their expertise, and concentrate on servicing our own clients’.

In the longer term, this approach will result in attracting a stronger and more consistent talent bank and in creating a structured, well-monitored and positive external message for TheAgency. Frank Hutton, Director of Ad Lib added, ‘We are thrilled to be working as recruitment partners with such an innovative, fast-growing company. The benefits of a Managed Service mean TheAgency can devote their full energy to growing their business instead of having to worry about recruitment issues in the short or long term’.
