the7Stars has won the £2 million media and buying account for the leading European premium ice cream producer R&R Ice Cream UK Limited following a competitive three way pitch.
The independent agency took the account as part of a pitch process that included Walker Media and Initiative Media. The business moves from Mindshare which declined to repitch.
Brands within the R&R stable include the iconic Fab lollies and Skinny Cow. New campaigns will focus initially around the premium Cornish ice cream brand Kelly’s of Cornwall® , one of the fastest growing brands in the ice cream market due its genuine Cornish provenance credentials and the dynamic frozen yogurt brand yoomoo®
TV will be central to activity across 2012 to drive footfall and take away purchase. Creative is handled by Devilfish.

R&R Ice Cream was formed in May 2006 when Richmond Foods announced its takeover by US investment company Oaktree Capital Management.
Oaktree united Richmond with Roncadin, the largest German own-brand label, to form the largest ice-cream manufacturer in Europe. The company also owns the license to make a number of famous ice cream brands for Nestle, Thorntons and supermarket own brands.
Other media accounts awarded to the7stars in the past few months of last year included Atlantic Records UK, high street retailer Uniqlo, charity Rethink Mental Illness and Sandals holiday resorts.
One stop sports shop Kitbag.com has appointed the7stars to handle its media planning and buying account with immediate effect.
