Purple Sponsor Annual Skinny Cubs Event

Purple, the leading recruitment consultant for the UK creative sector, is to sponsor an event in support of this year’s CANNT Festival, the creative industry’s alternative to the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival which is run by Laura JB at Dare and Simon Gill at LBi.
This year is the second year of Skinny Cubs, an event that aims to bring together young creatives with Creative Directors from agencies in and around London, and who haven’t been able to (or wanted to) attend the Cannes Lions Advertising Festival.
As with last year, a special 48-hour brief for creative individuals or creative teams to answer will be issued. The participating creatives can pick the brief up online on Monday 18th June (www.skinnycubs.co.uk) when there will be a launch event, hosted at Zigfrid von Underbelly at Hoxton Square. Anyone wishing to enter will have until Wednesday 20th to make submissions and these will all then be judged ahead of Friday 22nd when the winner will be announced at the end of Cannt party.
Purple has two Managing Consultants, Graham Symon and Pang Brinkley sitting on the Skinny Cubs judging panel. The panel will also include some of the advertising industries best known creative directors including: Pete Petrella (CD, Gyro HSR), Nick and Hemant (ECD's, Albion), Seth Jones (Snr Creative, Elvis), John Dean (ECD, Clusta, Matt Stafford (Work Club), Dan Northcote-Smith & Nick Moss (Fred & Farid Paris and Ben Clapp (ECD, Profero). Other industry luminaries will also attend the Friday event.
Purple has also secured three prizes from Academy Class, the industry training specialist. First prize is £1,000 worth of training and there are two runner up prizes of £500, also for training.
