Oxfordshire Science Festival has rebranded their website for the 2012 festival. The new website divides events into 4 different categories: “Clean & Green”, “Technology”, “Health & Wellbeing” and “The Universe”. This makes it easier for people to find events which suit their interests. The website also actively encourages local businesses to get involved by running their own science events at the launch event on the Saturday, the 3rd of March at Bond Square between 10-4pm.
Oxfordshire Science Festival has so much on offer and a great line-up of events. The fun starts in style at the “Science in Your World” launch event and continues throughout March with other popular events such as the “Mad About Science” morning (on Saturday, the 10th of March), “Becoming a Young Rock Detective” (on Thursday, the 15th of February) and the “Wildlife Photographer of the Year” exhibition which runs throughout the festival.
For the first year the website will also be complemented by Oxfordshire Science Festival’s iPhone app that is available for free via the iTunes App Store. The app makes a great up-to-date and portable accompaniment to the website, making it easier to access festival information. The app provides a short snapshot of each event which you can carry around with you in your pocket. Once you’re sold - you can just click the “Add to my calendar” button. It’s like having your own personal assistant to remind you where you should be next!
If you’re only planning a day at the festival, then search by date and only see the events taking place on that particular day! You can use the website to tailor your search by location and age range to find out where you can go to amuse your kids or educate yourself, Oxfordshire Science Festival really has something for everyone and the best news is that most events are free.
So when you’re deciding what brilliant events to attend this year, don’t forget to consult the website and download the free iPhone app!

We are pleased to announce the website re-launch which incorporates a whole new look for 2012. We strive to improve the digital experience of festival goers year upon year!”
