Ossett Brewery Reveals Brand Refresh

With a stunning new city centre venue successfully combining live music with real ale - together with 15 real ale pubs alongside the established brewery, and bottled beers on the shelf of leading supermarkets, Ossett Brewery wanted its brand to better reflect its growing reputation in the sector.
Mike Inman, Managing Director of Ossett Brewery explains: “We briefed Gratterpalm to modernise our brand. We wanted to enhance our professional look and feel, and bring consistency across our portfolio of products, venues and corporate material”.
Gratterpalm has unified the brewery’s branded elements under the tag line ‘The Real Ale Revolution’ – which was brought to the fore in strong typography. The existing logo was simplified to have more standout, whilst retaining the heritage of the brand, and new corporate literature, including stationery and leaflets has been created.
The brewery’s five permanent cask ales – Excelsior, Silver King, Pale Gold Ale, Big Red, and Yorkshire Blond – have been updated with striking new graphical designs that appear on the pump clips and beer mats. In addition, beer bottle labels for the brewery’s popular Excelsior and Treacle Stout, sold in leading supermarkets, have been redesigned.
The Hop opens to the public at the Granary Wharf Development in Leeds today.
