Omnicom expands global production network
Gutenberg Networks is launching a UK hub as part of its ongoing global expansion. Operations will be run by CEO Jon Goulding, previously managing director of Touch DDB. The UK hub, based in Butler’s Wharf, Tower Bridge, launches with high profile clients including Unilever and Philips.
As part of the Omnicom Group, it has been created to service major international clients and those needing production management solutions for the implementation and fulfilment of marketing campaigns across all channels. This is a major investment decision for Omnicom in the UK. Gutenberg Networks is one of the top five production companies in the world with over 750 employees.
Gutenberg Network hubs already exist in France, as well as having key specialist divisions in Poland, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Romania and Tunisia.
There are also plans for a hub to be set up in Chicago later this year.
Laura Jones, Global CEO of Gutenberg Networks says: "The production industry needs greater transparency and increasingly clients demand higher production values. Gutenberg Networks UK will offer great value for clients but will remain true to the essence of any Omnicom company; nurturing and protecting the creative product.”
Jon Goulding, CEO of Gutenberg Networks UK, adds: "De-coupling of marketing production has gathered momentum in the last three years. Over 30% of senior procurement personnel have either de-coupled production into specialist production management companies, or are investigating it as part of an ongoing drive to improve speed to market and make cost savings. We set up Gutenberg Networks specifically to help clients take advantage of consolidated efficiencies on a global scale and our London office will be critical as a gateway for managing client business."
