Gratterpalm Appoints New Head of Digital

Simon Kendrew joins Gratterpalm and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the team coming from Logistik as director of Brandnew, a division which offered digital, motion and brand projects. He worked on brands including Bupa, BBC and Marks & Spencers and built the team up to 26 in just two years. Prior to Logistik, Simon spent seven years in marketing roles at communications giant Orange.
Speaking of the appointment, Simon commented: “I was looking for a forward-thinking agency that has genuine ambitions to fully integrate digital into its overall offering. Gratterpalm has some great digital projects in its credentials and a fantastic client base with increasing requirements for on and offline campaign consistency. I am excited about the plans for 2011 and the role I can play in implementing and developing them”.
This latest appointment brings Gratterpalm’s digital team total to six, including specialist digital account managers, digital designers and digital developers.
Gratterpalm’s digital offering includes strategy and planning, website design and build, online advertising, email communications, motion graphics, viral, social media and a state-of-the-art offline editing suite.
Helen Saunders, director of human resources at Gratterpalm, added: “Simon impressed us with his knowledge and passion about digital and its role in integrated communications from a strategic, tactical and commercial standpoint. His planning approach, strategic marketing skills, combined with his expertise of the technical and creative aspects of online and big brand experience made him an obvious choice for the role”.
