DFS launches 2010 collection early with national magazine distribution

Sofa retailer DFS has launched a 20-page magazine to preview its 2010 collection of sofas. The magazine, created by Leeds-based advertising agency Gratterpalm, was distributed in national newspaper titles over the last week.

The magazine showcases the latest styles and designs for 2010 that have been released early and are available now, all with special introductory prices.

Rick Ward, Joint Creative Director at Gratterpalm said: “Our brief was to produce a magazine that appealed to a wide variety of customers all at different life-stages and with differing requirements”.

Included within the brochure are products highlighted for first time buyers on a budget, to those looking for something big enough to seat a whole bunch of family and friends.

All design, copywriting and photography was produced by Gratterpalm and the magazine was won following a three-way pitch. A radio commercial, promoting a ‘£400-off’ offer, has also been produced and is running alongside the magazine promotion.
