E-Marketing Consultant Dominic Yeadon commented; “This sponsorship deal coincides with the launch of XNet Pro so we wanted to show our support for the local sporting community. For over 100 years, Bournemouth Poppies youth football club have provided excellent coaching facilities. More recently under the stewardship of Chairman Ron Painter and charismatic team Manager Richard (‘Titch’) Handyside, this team remains unbeaten at the top of the table. TMB is happy to help Poppies, and we see this kit sponsorship as the beginning of a lasting sponsorship arrangement.”
Poppies history: The club was formed on 11 September 1875 as Bournemouth Rovers, making them one of the oldest clubs in southern England. In 1888 the club moved to Dean Park and changed their name to Bournemouth Dean Park, 2 years later in 1890 they moved on to Victoria Park and took up their current name.
The Poppies can be seen at their training ground at Victoria Park sporting their new jackets emblazoned with the lime green XNet-Pro.com logo.
