Codorníu Launches First Ever Limited Edition Bottles Designed by ButterflyCannon

Codorníu is launching two limited edition bottles for Valentine’s Day, to be sold exclusively in Tesco stores nationwide over the Valentine’s period.

This is Cordorníu’s first limited edition in the UK, for which they chose to partner up with packaging design experts ButterflyCannon. The designs were achieved using shrink sleeve technology to create a dramatically different look on standard product lines for promotional activity.

Jon Davies, creative director at ButterflyCannon adds, ‘The sleeve designs are a great way of grabbing consumer attention in what has become, let’s face it, quite a predictable sparkling wine fixture. Their overtly Valentine design of floating Codorníu branded ‘heart bubbles’ are further romanticised with a sparkly pearlescent finish. They are an unabashed statement of love.’

Carolyn D’Aguilar at Bodegas y Viñedos Codorníu Raventos says, ‘We’re thrilled with the work ButterflyCannon has produced for our Codorníu Vintage Brut and Codorníu Vintage Rosado Brut bottles. They have also worked incredibly efficiently, enabling us to move from initial brief through to final artwork in just a few months.’

The new valentines packs will be available exclusively at Tesco from 31st January until 14th February.
