Europcar Group confirms its transformation by changing its name to EUROPCAR MOBILITY GROUP with a new identity created by Brandimage.
Brandimage, a leading global consultancy of brand equity architects and designers, announced the launch of new corporate identity EUROPCAR MOBILITY GROUP.
Since 2014 the Europcar Group has undertaken an in-depth transformation by diversifying its activities beyond its historical business and extending its geographical scope. From a car rental specialist, the group has become a global provider of mobility solutions, offering a wide range of services: car rental, van and truck rental, chauffeur services, car sharing and peer-to-peer car-sharing.
The new name and the new EUROPCAR MOBILITY GROUP identity bring this strategy to life and will allow the Group to continue the extension of its activities to all mobility services while avoiding confusion with its leading commercial brand in Europe, Europcar.
Brandimage is Europcar group’s branding partner. The creation of the new group identity asserts the transformation of the company and confirms the overall brand architecture strategy for the commercial brands of the group.
A modern identity for a major player in the mobility sector
The objectives of the group with this new identity also were to:
- Endow the brand with a group status
- Highlight the Group’s core business: mobility
- Establish a new brand style connecting all the brands of the group
To achieve these objectives Brandimage designed a distinctive symbol made up with the 3 initials of the name – Europcar Mobility Group.
The full name and the symbol combine in a brand-block.
The movement of the rounded shapes suggests the ease and seamlessness of mobility solutions provided by the Group. The diamond shape at the crossroads of the lines highlights the connections between the different brands and the various mobility services provided by the Group.
The modern and fresh colors relate to innovating mobility start-ups that joined the Europcar portfolio in recent years. They combine with a darker green that reminds the Europcar green colors on which the group wanted to capitalize.
