Job Objective:
To develop new business in target markets through astute and commercially focussed identification of market needs, based on good product knowledge.
To optimise sales volumes, margins and growth opportunities through a long term professional and proactive relationship with an existing customer portfolio.
Scope:
· Current Mirri turnover £2.4m – operating in a European metpol market estimated at £60m
Responsibilities:
· Develop relationships with key blue chip companies, brand managers and product specifiers in point of sale, packaging and multimedia markets and identify and service their needs.
· Improve organic growth with existing business customers through a proactive sales relationship and a developed awareness of the customers needs.
· To identify any other market and customer opportunities.
· To ensure effective interpretation and communication of client requirements and good liaison.
· Work closely with the sales team and director in joint product development.
· Ensure customers operate in accordance with agreed contractual terms and negotiate contractual terms where they do not exist in order to confirm the basis of the trading relationship.
· Co-ordinate the development and improvement of the sales effort, balancing the need to maintain margin and the need to meet growing customer expectations.
· Manage projects and developments within the business to support the relationship with the customer and ensure the correct level of customer focus is achieved.
· Maintain a thorough knowledge of the market and product sectors to better persuade customers of the benefits of the existing relationship.
· Provide accurate short, medium and long term forecasts as necessary
· Maintain a constant telesales effort with the top 50 accounts and potential new customers.
· Follow up on quotes from the quote log to convert to new business.
