The Holocaust Memorial in Berlin, Germany. 19000 squared metres of 2700 concrete slabs. I took this image while on an assignment in Berlin. I wanted to emphasize the abstract nature of the memorial, while trying to stay true to the wave like form the slabs take. Architect Peter Eisenman hoped to create a feeling of groundlessness and instability, a sense of disorientation.
