World in Your Kitchen Calendar: Egypt

New Internationalist asked me to create a set of 12 images for the 'World in Your Kitchen' Calendar 2013, which features a vegetarian recipe each month from a different country. Each image is inspired by the food and/or country from which it comes this one for April 2013 is inspired by an Egyptian dish called Gibneh beydah (goat's cheese dip). Proceeds from the calendar go to a number of charities including Amnesty International, Traidcraft, CAFOD, SCIAF and Christian Aid. The illustration was created using a Wacom Cintiq with Adobe Photoshop. Art direction by Chris Brazier.
