This is one of many illustrations for a book on London for German children aged 8-10. The book is called 'Tea With The Queen' (in German) by Flamingo Press. The brief was to produce two fat, rough-looking pirates, asleep with large bellies. A bit of poetic license taken as Elizabethan pirates (ie Frances Drake) wouldn't have looked quite like this, so I made them a bit more 'Pirates of the Caribbean'
